DISTRACTION
MEANS
SILENT CONFESSION
The Traditionalists, as a troop of lions, began
roaring loud against ‘insult, mockery, abuse, denigration, detraction,
perversion, misinterpretation, heresy and more,’ heaped upon the ‘sacrosanct
tenets’ of the Traditional Mazdayasni Zoroastrian Religion, by me, Ali A.
Jafarey, an ‘outsider.’ A Holy War, a Mighty Mission must be won at any
cost!
It started with a flier in 1991, took a
“Global” proportion of 26-page packet of 17 allegations by 15 Parsi
personalities and organizations supported by “5000 signatures” from Bombay
alone – all done and prepared within the shortest possible period of 31
January to 2 February 2000, just four days before the Board of Executives of the
World Zoroastrian Congress was to meet and consider the ‘proposed’ names of
the Speakers of various “Tracks.” The SOLE object: Get me quickly barred me
from speaking at any of “tracks” without giving my supporters and me any
chance of presenting the other side in defense in that crucial meeting. The
‘blitzkrieg’ succeeded in its object.
But, to their surprise, I came up with my side
of the story, the TRUE side. I have have
been, since
August 2000, placing all their accusations, COMPLETE in the very words and
letters of the accusers, along with my responses and proofs of the falsifications, on
my Website www.jafarey.com -- THE PLAIN
TRUTH behind THE INTRICATE FALSITY. Why, because I have nothing to hide.
They have much, much to hide. They have not given even one passage of my
‘accused’ articles in its context. I have linked their sites – www.zoroastrianism.com

to my site so that every reader has full access
to what they say and what I have stated and state. THEY DARE NOT DO SUCH A
THING.
My
Website www.jafarey.com has changed the
situation. It has become fully clear that all their 17 allegations are
nothing but misinterpretations, twists,
distortions, adulterations, fabrications, falsifications and more. The public
opinion about their campaign has drastically changed. And they know it more than
anyone else.
The
reverse change in attitude regarding my “exclusion” resulted in FEZANA
seeking the opinion of its member associations on this ‘hot’ topic. A clear
majority of the associations voted not to exclude any person for his/her
difference of views from those of the Traditionalists. The Traditionalists
simply cannot digest the defeat by the majority vote. They want to have only
their way by hook or crook. The campaign to stop me from speaking at the FEZANA
Special Event continues unabated.
The most important point to note is that the
campaign, very, very religious in fervor and zeal, has somersaulted to land on a
personal point. THE ‘SACROSANCT TENETS’ OF THE RELIGION DO NOT MATTER
AT ALL ANY MORE. The ‘troop of Lions’ has gone silent. Now it is my Doctoral
credentials, a subject which has no connection WHATSOEVER with my Zoroastrian
studies and the consequential books and essays I have published in English and
Persian. Started by the prime priest, the leading lion, it has been given over
to a new recruit, a meowing cat. From roar, roar, roar to growl, snarl, and now
meow, meow! The “holy” war has become a hollow “VENT.”
In
other words, the sudden CHANGE in their campaign means that they have SILENTLY
CONFESSED that all their allegations are FALSE. But a confession after ten
years of uproar would mean a humiliating defeat. FRANTIC, they have come up with
an idea. Keep the cat meowing! That would distract attention from the
falsifications and yet show that the ‘holy war’ continues unabated! If it
does not work then one more trick. Hold a peaceful protest to stop me on the
spot from speaking at the FEZANA Special Event!
That
is the REAL REASON behind all the FRESH feverish fervor. They do not want
the very people whom they have repeatedly MISLED with their fabrications to
come and hear me FACE TO
FACE. They will stand exposed to the loss of their integrity and dignity. The SILENT
CONFESSION is too heavy a price to pay!
And that they shall pay when I have spoken or pay MUCH MORE if I am
prevented from speaking!
